Modular Building Web Site is Popular

used, new, modular building, office trailer, classroom prices and floor plans.
Modular building floor plans & prices
from local suppliers.

A great website for those interested in modular buildings

This week iModular.com received price requests from general contractors, schools, churches and  daycare centers each looking for floor plans and prices to rent either a modular building or mobile office trailer. As a result the people using the site saved time and money on what would normally take several phone calls and a lot of repeating the same questions.

"We use iModular.com in several of our offices as the best way to get a good rent price on double- wide modular office trailers for our job sites. It saves me a heck of a lot of time." stated Clifton Barnes, purchasing manager for a large southwestern general contractor.

The iModular.com price request tool is quick and easy to complete and it sends a person's price request to local modular building and mobile office trailer suppliers who quickly call back with prices, floor plans and answers about anything modular. Here's a link to the iModular free price form.

iModular.com has been online since 1998...so they must be doing good things.

How Long Do Modular Buildings Last?

How long can you expect your modular building to last?

"If I buy a new modular building how long can I expect it to last? Is it worth it to buy a new one or used?"

This is a popular question at iModular.com. People call and ask us this after they have talked to a few suppliers or manufacturers of modular structures. The short answer is that a modular building, portable classroom or modular home can easily last as long as any standard "conventionally" built structure if it is built properly and maintained regularly.

We suggest always shopping for a high quality used modular building unless you need to control the building specifications from the start.

Modular Classroom Design Tips

Here are some Modular Classroom Design Ideas

Many people ask me about the modular classroom design - in particular if there are ways to improve the acoustics. My answer is always YES!

Modular buildings can have noisy air conditioners and sound from neighboring rooms or playgrounds, etc. can penetrate the standard windows and doors and cause classroom distractions. Here are a few ideas to discuss with your modular building or portable classroom supplier:

1. Request a quiet HVAC system. Bard has its wall mounted QuietClimate series for example.

2. Inquire about upgrading from the standard windows and doors.

3. Request carpet floor covering in place of the typical vinyl tile. Carpet dampens noise.

4. Inquire about upgrading ceiling tiles. There are tiles available that dampen noise and improve insulation - both are worth reasons for upgrading.

Modular Building Help - Handicap Ramps

Handicap Ramp for your Modular Building

Here's a quick tip for anyone planning to use a modular building as a classroom or office. Always check with your local planning department about access for handicap individuals. In most cases you will need a handicap ramp to access the main entrance.

Modular building suppliers can provide you with a price to rent or buy a handicap ramp that meets ADA specifications and fits your modular building and site conditions. The length of the ramp is determined by the height of the bottom of the main entrance door so setting your modular building as low to the ground as possible may save you money and space.

If you have questions ask your local modular building supplier or check with Matt Banes at iModular.com.
